Process Facilitator Training Webinar with Aisha Hauser
April 22 and 29 4:30-6:30 pM
Are you trained in process observation, and want to take those skills to the next level? Have you experienced "ouches" in group settings that you wanted to address, but hesitated? Have you observed power dynamics that gave you pause, and wanted a bit of support and reinforcement to highlight how we might shift those dynamics in the name of our faith?
Our chapter leadership would like to see trained process facilitators help us do better in the inevitable, very human work that often triggers us. In our chapter, we come together to both release some of the pressures ministry heaps on us day in, day out, as well as to feel in our bones what beloved community can be with colleagues whose commitment and understanding can inform and deepen our own. We are invited to affirm the fullness of humanity in each person we encounter even though they may present themselves as eager, scared, and grumpy all at the same time. We hope this training will expand the considerable skills already present in our chapter through flexing our resiliency muscles together.
Aisha Hauser serves Bellevue Washington's East Shore Unitarian Church as the Director of Lifelong Learning. Here's her bio: https://esuc.org/staff/aisha-hauser/
Aisha says, "The program offers participants the opportunity to engage with concrete tools that will empower folks to become effective and clear process facilitators. During a webinar I will present the concepts in the book, Honest, Direct, Respectful so that the participants are able to use the strategies as tools for process observation and facilitation. The book itself begins with a self assessment so folks understand how they respond to conflict and difficult conversations. Learning to have clear, direct and yet compassionate difficult conversations is a skill that is useful in any human interaction, most especially ones that occur with clergy. I have offered this program several times and participants have reported appreciation for the straightforward and clear way in which the material is presented."
Honest, Direct, Respectful https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1207283.Honest_Direct_Respectful will be required reading before the first webinar so that we all make good use of our time together. We ask that you help us pay Aisha fairly for her time using the paypal link below - we ask for $40, please pay what you can, knowing no one will be turned away for lack of funds!
